Pokemon X and Pokemon Y versions

It looks like they broke the pattern with their fire types.

I guess they ran out of colors for the game names.

Over 650 models...the animators must've had nightmares.

Well, so much for GenIII remakes, I guess that means my HG & SS teams are going in B2 & W2 with my Platinum Team.
It looks like they broke the pattern with their fire types.
(let's hope so) And the version mascots being dragons (at least the X one doesn't look all that draconic)

Interesting how Pikachu seemed to be on the eiffel tower at the sart of the video there.

The 3D models and animations look better than I expected, there seem to be another bug gym in this one (and maybe a fire gym, too), and, as always, the boy looks bland compared to the girl.

Let the speculation on Pokemon Z begin!

Incidentally, I had an idea for a Frog starter myself; except mine was grass type and based on tree frogs. (Sapole> Tribbit> Ribbark)

I for one am looking forward to this. I've always wanted a full 3D Pokemon game.
As much as I loved XD I can hardly count it due to the fact that they cut so many corners on it.

A fox is close enough to a dog that I think I can retract my previous statement about the fire starter pattern being broken.

That grass thing is definitely not a reptile, so the grass starter pattern has indeed been broken.

I figured you meant the pattern of fire types evolving into part fighting. But then, what pattern are you referring to that you bring up dogs?

I have to admit, I didn't see a grass chipmunk coming.

Well, this sure is different... Though, I don't particularly like the grass or the water starters.

And on a side note... Looks like we don't get to explore an entire world just yet...

Now then, which starter will Ash get, my money's on the grass one. (Because he NEVER has any cool pokemon in use.)

All the fire starters are chinese zodiac animals.

Dragon
Rat
Rooster
Monkey
Pig
Dog

It looks like they are going to go the frog sage route with the water starter. I don't really have any complaints about how their designs look this time.

You know, there's a chance the fox may become a fire/psychic type, who knows.

Looking back, Gen 2 was the only one where any of the starters didn't have a second type. Though, how would a gator be a sage?

What? I'm talking about Froakie. Based on its design I think it will become some kind of frog sage.

Funny thing, the Infinity MUGEN Team discusses about that POKéMON game as well:
Doesn't it seem too early to release the next generation?

Also am I the only person who thinks the Pokemon designs seem to be getting worse since Gen 5? Chespin and Froakie look idiotic. And that antelope thing at the end ...

The 3D gameplay does look interesting though
no you're certainly not alone

but it does look great, they should remake a 1-3 gen game in this styling, that i would get

edit: i would say the designs have been going downhill for even longer than 5th gen
I suppose but to me it's more noticeable in the 5th gen
Fun fact: I first though that these games are fake, just because of how different they look like.

My games:
-Super Marisa World FUSION: http://www.fusiongameworks.net/smf/index.php/topic,848.0.html

I personally think the designs have mostly gotten better. There are some Pokemon that look dumb but it's been like that since the beginning. There for a bit (mainly gen 4) the legendaries were overdesigned but it seems to have gotten better.

Maybe I'll actually get back into the single player this time. I only got the second badge in Pokemon White before I lost interest. I still enjoy competitive battling though.

I agree; I mean, the first couple of generations had to keep it simplistic due to the platform they were working with.

Hey, every generation has a few Pokemon that should've been left on the design table, and I still look at Luvdisc as the laziest of them all.

I am hoping for wardrobe customization for the Trainer in this game, since there is an animation of the boy adjusting his hat.  Several DS RPGs did allow for the characters to change their clothes freely.  It's a strange request, but... hey.

And, considering how Golurk are in this region, I don't have to worry so much about building a new team.
